This beautiful vibrant yarn painting is made by a local indigenous Huichol from Nayarit, Mexico.

In this gorgeous yarn painting we can see there are various types of corn. In Mexico, the corn is sacred food for the tribes, For the Wirrarikas (Huichol) it is one of the sacred plants. There is different kinds of corn in colors of maroon, yellow, white and purple. In the center of the painting is the Hikori. The sacred Peyote' is the spiritual master of many tribes in  North America, especially the Warrarika. They use this plant teacher in every sacred ritual they practice. This corn yarn painting is an offering to  the great spirit.
